Introduction: Christmas Tinto Primary School
Meet Mr Qantolo, principal of Christmas Tinto Primary in Asanda Village, Strand.
Christmas Tinto Primary is a no fees school welcoming 1482 learners from Grade 1 to 7 and 42 teachers to their prefab building facilities on a daily basis. Mr Qantolo and his management team have been part of the Helderberg Schools Development program, initiated and funded by The Rupert Foundation and facilitated by Camino Consulting, for the past six years.
The teachers at Christmas Tinto have the grit and passion to provide quality education for every learner, every day. Their teachers are beautiful from the inside, out! With Strong Schools’s model and the coordination of wider community involvement, this school has the potential to become a legacy of our mission for Strong Schools which is- to take a departmental, under resourced school from where it is, to where it could be…
We are looking for visionary partners who will provide the funding to launch Christmas Tinto’s school improvement journey. Mr Qantolo has a passion for athletics and also boasts with some Western Province cross country athletes! An athletics track on their available land, for example, could offer this school the opportunity to put an athletics programme together and in so doing, turn an extramural activity into hope, possibilities and even potential careers for the children – it starts now! Contact us if you want to lead the change in government schooling with Strong Schools.
