Celebrate! Four years of relationships with Helderberg school SMT’s.
SMT is the abbreviation used for Senior Management Teams – these are the 6 – 8 key people in each school and this is where our school improvement programs start: the Principal, one or two Deputies and the Heads of Departments.
The Rupert Foundation has enabled us to build into these SMT’s over the past four years and in Term 2 of the 2020 academic school year, we will commence with this program once again – into our 5th year and beyond! Leadership development, management competencies development, team development and strategic planning – this is what the consultation sessions will focus on. Camino Consulting is the organisational development agency who provides the experienced and passionate industrial psychologists who design and facilitate these interventions. The 13 schools in the Helderberg who are part of this program include:
Primary Schools:
- ACJ Phakade
- Christmas Tinto
- Dr GJ Joubert
- Silukhanyo
- Sir Lowry’s
- Somerset West Methodist
- Temperance Town
- Solomon Qatyana
High Schools:
- Gordon
- Nomzamo
- Simanyene
- Strand Secondary
- Rusthof Secondary
We are excited to see the growth in all these individuals and how their personal development impacts the way they lead their schools and ultimately the positive impact and influence that the learners will experience.
Here are some of our educators as we reflect on some of the memories from 2019.
